They have similar tastes, habits, and character. They do have different passions though - Vijay excels in boxing, while Ravi in singing. One day Ravi meets an attractive young woman named Meenaksi (Mamta Kulkarni) and both fall in love with each other. Vijay, on the other hand, also meets with an attractive young woman who calls herself Meenu and both fall in love with each other. Hilariously Meenaksi and Meenu are look-alikes. While Meena lives with her dad, Ghanshyam (Kader Khan), in Bombay, Meenu lives in the U.S.. Meenu departs for the U.S., promising that she will speak with her dad about Vijay, and ensure that they get married soon. A few weeks later, Vijay intercepts a phone call from an unknown male, who thinks that he is speaking to Ravi, and this is how Vijay finds out that his Meenu is dead, and that the person he has been seeing is actually Meena, and the person who has been pulling wool over his eyes is none other than Ravi.
